DiveTracker Scout System (Receiver & Transmitter)
The DiveTracker Scout System is a compact, easy-to-use underwater navigation solution that includes both a handheld receiver and a deployable transmitter. Designed for recreational and light-duty diving, the system allows divers to mark a location such as a boat, anchor line, or buddy, and reliably navigate back to it using intuitive visual guidance.
Receiver (Scout Receiver):
- Guidance system: NAV light indicates direction and distance to the transmitter
- Range: Up to 1,000 ft (305 m)
- NAV light colors:
- Green: ~30–100 ft
- Green + Red: ~100–300 ft
- Red: ~300–1,000 ft
- Signal tracking: Sweep to find strongest signal, then swim in that direction
- Size: Approximately magic marker-sized; clips to B/C D-ring or worn on wrist/gear
- Power: SAFT 14250 3.6V battery (receiver only)
- Auto-off: Shuts off after 2 hours with no signal detected
Transmitter (Scout Transmitter):
- Function: Marks the location for divers to return to
- Power: Uses standard 9V battery
- Activation: Magnetic switch (hold magnet for 1+ second)
- Status indicator: Slow blink -> Battery OK, Fast blink -> Low battery
- Battery life: Approximately 2 days
- Placement guidance: Secure to a line and position about 5 ft below surface (or 5 ft above seafloor for anchors); avoid obstructions for best signal performance
