The DiveTracker Experience
Hello fellow divers! I am Marco Flagg, the founder of Desert Star Systems. When I learned SCUBA way back in 1988, my dive instructor 'chewed me out' after surfacing without my buddy. I was simply too fascinated with this new environment to watch my buddy. And so, I decided to build a 'buddy finder'. DiveTracker Sport arguably saved my life after I was attacked by a Great White Shark not long thereafter. You can find that story hinged on a slightly cringy 1990's Beach Patrol episode in one of the videos below. But more importantly, DiveTracker has since accompanied me through many adventures - and a few critical moments. This page is dedicated to the DiveTracker experience. Cool under pressure. That's how I have been described after surviving a Great White Shark attack. But it was different: DiveTracker gave me a signal home. Just after being in the jaws of the shark, this signal told me what to do... and supported my self-rescue!
