SeaTag LOT
The SeaTag-LOT is a simple, low-cost pop-up satellite archival tag (PSAT) designed for large-scale fisheries studies, including mortality detection and coarse-scale migration tracking in species such as tuna and billfish. It uses light and sea surface temperature (SST) data to estimate movement tracks (via CLS Track&Loc, optional) and detects mortality using a temperature-gradient method, making it an efficient tool for high-volume tagging programs.
