It is recommended for use when tagged animals rarely occupy the “energy harvesting zone” or in environments where biofouling may reduce solar efficiency, helping prevent performance issues such as data loss during high sampling rates. The unit features a kinetic burn release mechanism that delivers strong holding power and fast, consistent release in both fresh and salt water, without being affected by fouling.
