DiveTracker Scout Transmitter (SCOUT-TX)
The DiveTracker Scout Transmitter (SCOUT-TX) is the compact “beacon” component of the Scout system, used to mark an underwater location for easy return navigation. Designed for simplicity and reliability, it provides a straightforward solution for marking boats, anchor lines, or dive sites with minimal setup and maintenance.
Specifications:
Function: Acoustic beacon used with Scout Receiver for return navigation
Range: Up to 1,000 ft (305 m) with Scout Receiver
Housing: Injection-molded plastic with O-ring seal; transparent body shows internal components
Power: Uses standard 9V battery
Activation: Magnetic lanyard switch for simple on/off operation
Design: Small, lightweight, and easy to deploy
Operation & Use:
Boat marking: Secure to a line ~5 ft below the surface, below the boat’s lowest point
Anchor marking: Attach ~5 ft above the seafloor for best performance
Navigation feedback (via receiver):
Green: ~30–100 ft
Green/Red: ~100–300 ft
Red: ~300–1,000 ft
Maintenance:
Requires only periodic O-ring and battery replacement for continued operation
Built for long-term use with minimal servicing
