DiveTracker Sport System (DTS-RX Receiver & DTS-TX Transmitter)
The DiveTracker Sport System is a high-performance underwater navigation solution that includes both a handheld receiver and a deployable transmitter. Based on a proven transmitter/receiver platform with over 20 years of field use, the system enables divers to mark a location such as a boat, anchor line, or dive site, and reliably navigate back to it by following acoustic signals that indicate direction and distance.
Receiver (DTS-RX):
- Function: Handheld unit that detects transmitter sonar pings and guides diver to the strongest signal
- Operation: Sweep left to right like a flashlight to locate and follow the strongest signal
- Range modes:
LO: Under 200 ft
HI: 200–2000 ft
- Extended range: 2000–4000 ft (internal switch)
- Display: 9–10 segment LED bar graph with distance scale
- Visibility: Bright LED display for easy reading in low-visibility conditions
- Power: 9V alkaline battery (~6 hours continuous or ~70 dives at 10 readouts per dive)
- Depth rating: 1,000 ft (305 m)
Transmitter (DTS-TX):
- Function: Acoustic beacon used to mark a location for return navigation
- Signal: 72.5 kHz sonar pings, omni-directional (except upward)
- Power: 6 AA alkaline batteries
- Battery life: ~168 hours continuous at 4 pings/sec
- Low battery indicator: Red LED at ~25% remaining
- Activation: Magnetic thumb-wheel switch (align ON with red mark)
- Depth rating: 1,000 ft (305 m)
- Size & weight: 2.5 in diameter × 5.0 in length; 22 oz in air, 4 oz in water
