Dam inspections are best conducted with the AquaMap Seafloor system
mounted on ROV. Prior to the survey, two RBS-1 baseline stations
are placed close to the wall of the dam, and two additional stations in
the reservoir some distance away from the dam. The resulting
accuracy is sub-meter. AquaMap is commonly used for this
task. The attached report discusses the inspection of a dam in
California. This survey was done to identify a suspected
leak.
