RBS-1
The RBS-1 is our most popular baseline station. It is used all AquaMap configurations. It has a very rugged design and can be used pretty much anywhere. This station has nominal operating range of 1000 meters. The internal batteries last, on average, 20 hours with only a 3 hour charge time.
RBS-2
The RBS-2 is quite similar to the RBS-1 in terms of its capabilities. The purpose of the RBS-2 is to use in scenarios that require longer operating times. The normal version of the RBS-2 has a range of 1000 meters as well; however, the deep ocean version (RBS-2D) has a range of 7000 meters. Though it takes 24 hours to fully charge, it has a battery life of about 130 hours of operation. During its sleep mode it consumes no power. This is a great step up from the RBS-1 for those who need to survey the same location for an extended period of time or for those who need to survey the same location several times.
